We Have Moved!

After Tom bought 'The Battle Barn' at the end of 2019 he renamed it 'The Barn Boxing & Fitness Ltd'. He wanted to keep part of the original name so that people knew there was still a boxing club in Clanfield, but also wanted a clean slate to create a gym that he was proud of. 

Tom & Harriet have ticked off a long list of achievements for themselves & the gym over the last 5 years. After weathering the Covid19 storm as new gym owners, they secured an England Boxing Affiliation, giving their boxers the best competition opportunities available in this country. They were both awarded their England Boxing Level 1 & 2 Qualifications and Harriet completed her Level 2 & 3 Personal Training Qualification. 

Tom has lead from the front competition-wise - alongside his own professional boxing career, The Barn has produced top level carded boxers & people. We have just finished our busiest year bout-wise & are looking forward to the season ahead with a whole squad of young boxers ready to get medicaled. 

Piece by piece, with time & help from our friends, we have slowly transformed a White Collar Boxing Club to a wonderful gym & England Boxing Club. While we are sad to leave our much loved Barn, we are full of hope, determination & excitement to create something special in Brennan's Gym. 

While we love Clanfield & have made some lifelong friends there, it has always been a dream to move the gym to Carterton. The new location is significantly bigger than The Barn which opens up so many opportunities for growth. Brennan's Gym can accommodate independent members for more hours each day & without restriction. The size & the layout means that people can use the gym even during timetabled classes. The KeyBox Access arrangement will be extended to Brennan's Gym & work in the same way it does in The Barn - members will be provided with an access code so that they can train independently. 

Carterton is significantly more accessible for the community we serve. The new unit is closer to the majority of our members & 1:1 Clients and young people can now arrive by foot or well served public transport routes. We hope that this will result in our reach spreading much further. We already work with a large number of young people & adults in regards to building confidence, improving mental health, battling addictions & overall health and wellbeing. The Barn has given us the platform to become an asset to our community & Brennan's Gym will enable us to impact even more people. 

As with The Barn, Brennan's Gym is going to be a work in progress. We have worked hard to get it ready to open in line with the leaving date at The Barn. We have had help from our friends in the form of materials, labour & advice in getting the unit ready to open. 

With Brennan's Gym being so much bigger than The Barn, we have plenty of ideas on how best to use the space. We will have the boxing & circuits areas ready to go & have big plans for the other areas. 

We are excited to welcome our longstanding members alongside new people to Brennan's Gym from Monday 15th July!
